Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary

About Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary

The Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park is a unique kind of sanctuary where visitors can witness the incredible work of our ranger team, who are dedicated to conservation through education. Our mission is to care for and protect hundreds of animals annually and educate visitors on the importance of wildlife preservation. As a working wildlife sanctuary located in Calga, on the Central Coast hinterland of New South Wales, we provide a home for rescued, orphaned, unreleasable, disabled and retired animals, as well as help protect the many wild animals living in our 180 acres of natural Aussie bushland. One of the things that set us apart is our location on a Heritage-listed Aboriginal cultural landscape, where visitors can explore bushwalks to see some of the important, protected sites for our local indigenous communities. At the Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park, we believe that education is key to conservation and are committed to making a real difference.
